first post of 2026

Hello World,

This is the first sentence of my first paragraph of this new blog, and its primary purpose is to make this huge white page a little more manageable, so that it feels less like wading through deep snow. Now it still feels like deep snow, but now my big boots are on and I know there is a usable path down there somewhere. Let's follow it. 

I only made this blog because Lilly [who makes cool pictures] made a post calling for "blogspot resurgence 2026". Well, here we are. I'm not resurging, I'm surging for the first time. Now that I wrote that and mentioned snow in my first paragraph, I'm reminded of this little flower, przebiśnieg = the through-snow, I see it's called "snowdrop" in English. I think the Polish name has more of a punch to it, like the flowers punch through the snow, surge through it, they drive through it. Inspiration for the first working day of 2026? Could be.  

Here let's put a sentence acknowledging climate change, I despise it. 

Okay, post done, I'm off to do other things - with radio playing in the background, currently Warsaw but will switch to Laos after the news is done.
